Madras Estates (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Act (XXVI of 1948) as amended by Madras Act (XLIV of 1956), sections 11 and 64-C — Effect of section 64-C — Grant of patta under section 11 in respect of lands taken over by Government — If operates as bar to civil Court adjudicating upon competing titles to such lands.

Limitation Act (IX of 1908), sections 4, 28 and Article 144 — 12 years period of adverse possession under Article 144 expiring on Sunday — Suit for possession on succeeding Monday — If barred.
